Dr. Craig Gosse

Investigator / Researcher and Medical Advisor

Dr. Gosse brings an exceptional wealth of experience and expertise to PPRI. He is a licensed Psychiatrist and a distinguished specialist in Occupational Psychiatry, with an impressive academic and professional background that spans decades and includes some of the most renowned institutions in Canada and beyond.
 
Dr. Gosse earned his BSc, BMedSc, and MD from Memorial University of Newfoundland, completed his Internship at Ottawa General Hospital, and pursued his Residency in Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He has also undertaken advanced studies at Harvard Medical School and participated in numerous Continuing Medical Education programs to enhance his expertise.
 
Professionally, Dr. Gosse has held prominent roles, including Senior Staff Psychiatrist at Queen Street Mental Health Center in Toronto, Consulting Staff at QE II Health Science Center in Halifax, and Director of the Psychiatric Outpatient Department at Camp Hill Medical Center. Additionally, he has held academic positions as an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University and as a Lecturer at the University of Toronto.
 
Currently, Dr. Gosse leads the Occupational Psychiatry Department at Homewood Health, where he applies his specialized knowledge in occupational mental health on a national platform. His work spans various Occupational Mental Health services, including stress management, workplace absence management, disability assessment, and the treatment of PTSD and other workplace-related emotional trauma.
 
Beyond clinical and consultancy work, Dr. Gosse has been a key contributor to the field of psychiatry through pharmacological research, advisory roles, and as a keynote speaker on topics such as physician burnout.
